Ashton Kutcher: I don’t talk about Mila Kunis because of the Demi Moore fallout
The What Happens in Vegas actor says he wants to keep this relationship private after learning his lesson with his ex-wife. Are you sure you’re not tempted just to Tweet a few pics of Mila’s bum?
When he was married to Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher was a fully paid up member of the Oversharers Club and would Tweet pictures of his wife in her underwear to his millions of followers. And oh how we loved it. But those days are gone. They’re GONE, ok Demi? And in a new interview with ELLE, Ashton says he’s learnt his lesson and won’t be discussing his relationship with Mila Kunis (or sharing snaps of her bending over in just her pants. Even if she did pinch his bum in public recently).
“I’ve learned that there are a lot of things in your life that really benefit from being private. And relationships are one of them,” Ashton told ELLE. ” And I am going to do everything in my power to have this relationship [with Mila] be private”.
Ashton met Mila more than a decade ago when they co-starred in the sitcom That ’70s Show, and they got together last year following his split from Demi in November 2011.
When asked about the current state of his relationship with Demi’s three daughters, the Dude Where’s My Car actor replied, “There are some things that are better left private.” Before adding “Someone once told me, ‘If anyone wants to be rich and famous, let them be rich first and see if they still want to be famous.’”
Ashton also talked about criticism he faced after being cast as Apple co-creator Steve Jobs in the upcoming film jOBS. “People fill in the blanks really fast. They go, ‘Oh my God, he’s on a show [Two and a Half Men] and [plays] stupid, so he must be stupid,’?” he said. “I can’t control that, nor do I try to, nor do I want to. There’s something advantageous about having people underestimate your intellect, insomuch as a lot of things are revealed to you. They assume you don’t know what you’re talking about, then all of a sudden, you do. And the next thing you know, you have information you wouldn’t normally have.”
On the topic of work, the 35-year-old actor says he’s made a concerted effort to find parts that are more challenging. “There was a point in time where I was doing movies to be able to afford to live in a certain way,” Ashton admitted. “You know, I didn’t really go the starving-artist route. I kind of went and did massive, commercial things. [Two and a Half Men] is a very commercial show. But it’s very fun to do. I’m surrounded by an amazing group of people. And I can be home for dinner.” A nice private dinner with the sexiest woman alive.
For the record, we’d like to say we felt challenged while watching Dude, Where’s My Car?, What Happens in Vegas and Just Married.
