The much awaited shopping center, Bagatelle Mall of Mauritius, with its modern architecture welcomed its first customers since 10 a.m. this morning.

It is in a festive atmosphere enhanced with stylish music and a relaxed atmosphere that Mauritians from all over the country discovered the biggest shopping center of the island located on the side of the M1 motorway.

A bigger crowd is expected this weekend. This project has been realized by ENL Property in partnership with the South African company Atterburry. If several shops are already operational, there are many which were doing the final retouches, interior decorations this morning. The few shops which are not yet opened are working tirelessly to open and welcome their first customers.

According to the management of ENL Property, about 60% of the shopping center is operational and this should rise to 75% this weekend. The shopping complex will have 140 shops, local and international one, six 3D cinemas, a big food court, two hypermarkets, Intermart and Pick n Pay. The parking can accommodate 2500 vehicles.

The Bagatelle Mall of Mauritius will be officially inaugurated by the Prime Minister, Navin Ramgoolam on the 19th October 2011.
