Xiao Han, a 21-year-old student at Henan Normal University, was found dead on June 10, 2012. She had 13 stab wounds all around her body, with two wounds on her arms, five on her legs and six in the neck. However, Chinese police declared the case a suicide!
This decision sparked outrage from the victim’s family as well as from people on the Internet who were following the news.
After the investigation, the police declared that Xiao Han had suffered from psychological problems and was under pressure because of her exams.
Her family strongly disagreed. They said that she was very outgoing and was not suffering from psychological problems. Why would a girl go through all this pain and kill herself early in the morning, they asked.
Henan Normal University’s director said that the school had no intention of investigating the incident, stating that it was police business.
