The gagging order issued by Judge Bhushan Domah against La Sentinelle Ltee and Le Mauricien forbidding them to publish articles on the private life of PTr activist Nandanee Soornack was taken up in the Supreme court yesterday.
The chief editors of L’Express, Raj Meetarbhan and Express Dimanche, Rabin Bhujun, director of La Sentinelle Group, Denis Ithier and the director of Le Mauricien group, Jacques Riivet filed an affidavit in court to contest the gagging order issued on Saturday.
The Gagging order was extended so that she can file a counter affidavit. In her counter affidavit, the Labour Party activist disproved the argument of La Sentinelle Ltee.
Judge Bushan Domah will announce his decision tomorrow.
