Crime at Forest Side – Husband stabs Wife and Daughter
A tragedy took place at Gabriel Froppier street, Forest-Side today. Mrs Asmah Tengnah, a 49-year-old woman was found dead in her house at noon on 14 February 2012. Her 51-year-old husband and 13-year-old daughter were lying unconscious stabbed on their necks.
According to various reports, Mr Nizam Tengnah killed his wife by stabbing her twenty times and when her daughter who witnessed the scene tried to look for help, the indebted man tried to kill her also.
People living in the neighborhood said that the Tengnah family was facing serious financial problems. Mr Nizam was heavily indebted, his house as well as the cold storage was threatened to be sold by the “Sale By Levy”.
The corpse of the woman was transported to the morgue of Victoria hospital and an autopsy was performed by Dr Monvoisin who attributed the death due to “Stab wound to the neck”. Her daughter, Amira who is a student at the Hindu Girls College was rushed to Nehru Hospital, Rose Belle. Mr Nizam, the murderer is admitted at the Victoria Hospital.
The Police of Curepipe, the criminal Police, the Major Crimes Investigation Team (MCIT) and the local team of the National Crime Intelligence Service (NCIS) are working together to know the causes of this crime. The relatives of this family will be interrogated.
