Patrick Merven Stable registered a superb hat trick for the 16th meeting on Saturday 16th June. Victories from Don’t Say Don’t, Bobby Bear and Bali Jojo made it a great day for Merven Stable. It is the victory of Bobby Bear which was the most important since it was in the main race. It was Bobby Bear first victory among the elite which saw it dominate Captain’s Cheer, Chief Mambo and Capitaine.
Ridden by apprentice Rehaze Hoolash, Bobby Bear benefited from a small handicap to follow in an ideal position before accelerating.
In the 2nd race, Don’t Say Don’t caused a major upset by beating Sky Link. Bali Mojo made it two in a row with a great finish.
Druid’s Moon won in the 5th race with a thrilling finish. Sports Factor came second registering a brace for Rousset stable and for jockey Geroudis who won with Lord Googol in the 3rd race.
In the 7th race, Jockey Ségéon fell down from big favourite City of Choice at the start. The Jockey became unbalanced and fell down. Powerful Gift made the most of it and caused a major surprise with a thrilling finish.
