Indian Girl Commits Suicide over Fear of End of the World
When the Large Hadron Collider was first fired up, people feared it would destroy the world. Sadly, for one young girl in India, committing suicide was a far more preferable alternative to facing such demise.
Of course, the Large Hadron Collider didn’t destroy the world, making this young girl’s suicide all the more sad.
Chhaya, who hailed from Madhya Pradesh, consumed tablets of sulphos, an insecticide, to expedite what she assumed to be her inevitable death.
She was eventually taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The police investigated the incident. The Large Hadron Collider was not, however, called in for questioning.
