Mauritius Ranked Second in Global Competiveness Report 2011-2012
The Global Competitiveness Report for 2011-2012 which was released on Wednesday cites South Africa and Mauritius as top ranked countries for competitiveness.
South Africa has gained 4 places from last year and is now ranked 50.
Mauritius is ranked 54 and has gained one place from last year. According to the Global Competiveness Report, Mauritius has an efficient government, a very well organized judicial independence and good property rights.
According to the report, Mauritius need to improve its education system in order to climb up the ranks.
Rwanda is ranked behind Mauritius and South Africa.
The World Economic Forum ( WEF ) is an organization which conducts yearly survey considering many factors such as the country’s business climate.
