Mauritius Turf of Saturday 25 June was dominated with Johnny Geroudis and Gilbert Rousset in the headlines. They were simply too good yesterday. The amazing pair managed to get a place in Hall of Fame with five victories in only one meeting. They had already recorded their third consecutive victory with hot favourite Honour In Gold by the forth race of the 14th meeting.

Pattaya Beach (Augé) sprinted superbly to take second place in front of Sports Factor (Pegus) and Constellation (Sola). Honour In Gold recorded its first victory yesterday.

In the 7th race of the 14th meeting, Gilbert Rousset and Johnny Geroudis recorded a quadruple. Running On preserved his second place just ahead of Druid’s Moon (Cahill) while Russian Glen (Neisius) was fourth. Rousset stable consolidates its first position in the stable championship while Johnny Geroudis has leaped Robbie Burke in the Mauritius jockeys’ championship.

Johnny Geroudis fifth win in the last race was enough to seal a formidable day. . Johnny Geroudis has now got a place in the Hall of Fame in Mauritius with five victories in one meeting. Beaten favourite at his last outing, Pride Of Prussia produced a great finish and this win was appreciated in an electric atmosphere. Dynastar could only finish third ahead of Roman Baton.
