The forth edition of the “bien-être et jardin” exhibition took place at Expositions de St Denis, Reunion Island from 20th to 24th June 2012. This year, much importance was given to tourism with stalls full of travel ideas and discoveries.
All countries from the “Vanilla Islands” attended this regional tourism fair: Madagascar, Mauritius, Seychelles, Reunion and Mayotte.
This year, Mayotte took drastic measures by investing in a stall of 56 m². As the aim was to refurbish the image of the destination among Reunion clients and professionals, a new stand has been implemented during the event. After the inauguration of its branch at Saint-Denis in 2011, the Mayotte CDT with the support of tourism professionals asserted its interest in the main Reunion market.
There were about 15 professionals who traveled to ensure the proper marketing of their products: hotels, lodges and guestrooms, car rental companies and nautical services which showcase the breath-taking aspects of the beautiful island.
At the Mayotte Stand, we could find the SNC Lavalin group – Airport of Mayotte, which provided visitors an overview of the island’s future airport.
From 20 to 24 June, various events were scheduled to attract visitors to the Mayotte stand. A contest took place where a stay for 2 people in Mayotte with the collaboration of Air Austral Company, Jardin Maoré and Sakouli hotels could be won. People present could also enjoy a variety of traditional dances and songs along with a beauty and make-up workshop.
