Abdool Monaf Soobratty, candidate of Front Solidarité Mauricien (FSM) in constituency no 6, Vacoas/Phoenix for the upcoming election has been arrested by the Petit-Riviere police yesterday.

Abdool Monaf Soobratty, candidate of Front Solidarité Mauricien (FSM) in constituency no 6, Vacoas/Phoenix for the upcoming election has been arrested by the Petit-Riviere police yesterday.
A 17-year-old girl alleged that she was raped in the van of this member of FSM on Thursday night in Albion.
The victim said she accompanied Soobratty after the latter handed Rs 500 and a Rs 10,000 cheque to her step mother.
The young girl said that she did not know she will be abused sexually.
