Police Inspector gets Woman Constable drunk, rapes her

Scandals involving the Mauritius Police force are far from over. A Woman Police constable (WPC) has filed a complaint on Friday at the Central Criminal Investigation Department (CCID). She stated that she was sexually abused by a Police inspector on the 13th April 2012. The Woman Police Constable, aged 24, had joined the police force in 2010. It is then that she met the inspector in her workplace and they have been spending some quality time together.

“The inspector lied to me. He told me that he was living separately from his wife and that he is in love with me”. “He also told me that his wife and child are abroad and he is in contact with them.”

Last April, the inspector invited the constable for dinner in a restaurant. Since it was closed, the inspector proposed his colleague to come at his place. They drank two glasses as it was a rainy day.

“We had dinner, then we went to watch TV in a room”. The inspector raped me when i was drunk. Although i was not in my senses, i could feel that the inspector was having sex with me” she told the investigators.

The victim waked up early in the morning to take a bath before returning to bed and join the inspector.

According to the Police constable, the inspector had planned everything beforehand. The young woman decided to file a complaint against the inspector because she could not bear the insults and humiliations of her colleague. “He treated me as prostitute and tarnished my reputation in front of my colleague”.

The victim told investigators that she delayed to file a complaint because she was traumatised.

The investigators of the Central CID are actively looking for the inspector.
