After the Air Mauritius hostess and steward sex scandal which broke out yesterday, this time it is the Mauritius Police Force which is in the limelight.
A married police officer was caught in an embarrassing situation with his female colleague at home by his mother-in-law.
Both officers are from a Police station in the suburb of Port Louis and the female police constable is a new recruit.
They were in a long-time extramarital affair until their private life was disclosed by the mother-in-love of the married man.
This was the end of their wonderful love story and the start of a nightmare for the lovebirds.
There is no formal complaint against the two officers, however the female police officer has been transferred to another police station as punishment.
This is a very shameful act from our Police Officers, it is simply a disgrace to the Police Force of Mauritius. The number of cases and complaints against officers in the island is rising considerably.
