Ramdhony’s wife dies of lung cancer

Kavita Ramdhony whose husband was found dead in a police cell and who had filed a Rs 45 million lawsuit against the government and the police has passed away. The courageous woman who was in her thirties led a relentless battle against courts, maintaining there was foul play behind the death of his husband in jail. She died on Sunday at the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Hospital after a long battle with lung cancer.

Present at her funeral, her lawyer Niven Ramchurn said they would ask for a judicial review to contest magistrate Shefali Ganoo report.
