The Minister of Information and Communication Technology, the honorable Tassarajen Chedumbrum Pillay  is struck by a family tragedy today. His son Shiva  was the victim of a road accident which took place this morning near Montagne-Ory.

The accident occurred at 8:15 this morning. 21-year-old Shiva Pillay Chedumbrum was at the wheels of a yellow Suzuki Swift and he had just left home at Pailles to go to the Charles Telfair Institute in Moka for the resumption of classes

His car collided with a BMW near Montagne-Ory. According to our information, the BMW was on the third lane of the highway which is reserved for vehicles going to the capital. Seriously injured, Shiva Pillay Chedumbrum was rushed to Apollo Bramwell Hospital at Moka, where he passed away shortly after 11 o’clock this morning.

Shiva Pillay Chedumbrum was a big fan of sports cars. His friends said that “the car and him are one. ” Moreover, the young man described his yellow Suzuki, registered 2626, as the “love” of his life.
