Tecoma Award 2011: Pierre Ah Sue Is Entrepreneur Of The Year 2011
Pierre Ah Sue, the director of Sotravic Limited is entrepreneur of the year 2011. There were 200 people gathered at the amphitheater of the French Institute of Mauritius located in Rose Hill and it is with a thunderous applause that the winner of the Tecoma Award 2011 was awarded.
This trophy rewards the entrepreneur of the year 2011. The Winners supermarkets, represented by its director general Nicolas Merven, won the Grand Prize of the Sustainable Development.
The Tecoma Award 2011 has been organized by the Eco austral, the economic magazine of the Indian Ocean, in partnership with the Banque des Mascareignes and with the support of Le Mauricien Newspaper and the Institute for survey by TNS Analysis. Besides Peter Ah Sue, the four other Mauritians nominees are Didier de Senneville, Jean-Philippe of Unienville, Mario Gebert and Dev Sunnasy.
About Sotravic Ltee
Sotravic Ltée was founded by its present Chairman, Pierre Ah Sue, on 4th November 1986 when, as a young and ambitious civil engineer, he set out with a capital of MUR 50,000 to launch Sotravic Ltée as a civil engineering construction company. Before this, he had graduated from the University of Aberdeen followed by traineeship as an engineer with John Taylor & Sons (1982) and experience in design and supervision of civil engineering projects with Sir Alexander Gibb & Partners (1982 to 1984) and Sigma Consulting Engineers (1984 to 1986) gaining registration as Professional Engineer in the process. Since its origins, Sotravic Ltée remains a privately owned Mauritian construction company.
