The UoM End of Year party has been given green light by the Vice Chancellor (VC) under certain conditions put forward by him.
For the first time in 15 years, it was decided that the students of the University of Mauritius (UoM) would not be allowed to organise the end-of-year-party.
The students protested and sought the help of the administration. The administration remained adamant that a party where young people consume large amount of alcohol is not permitted.
The conditions put forward by the Vice-Chancellor is that the party shall start at 3 pm and end by 9 pm on Friday and no guests will be allowed.
The theme chosen for this year EOY is “Survival Party”. It will be held on the ground in front of Agricultural building tomorrow.
